Probate and Estate Administration

When a family member dies, we guide the executor or administrator through the court process in Texas or California, and help families carry out Islamic inheritance shares where the law allows.

In Texas, we handle independent administration, probate of a will as a muniment of title, small estate affidavits, and heirship determinations. In California, we handle probate administration.

When a will or the state's rules do not follow Islamic shares, adult heirs can sometimes agree among themselves to divide the estate by those shares. We help families document those agreements.

In a probate matter, we represent the person serving as executor or administrator. Other family members may wish to have their own counsel.

Does every estate need probate?

No. Some estates qualify for simpler procedures, and some assets pass outside probate entirely. After reviewing the estate, we explain which applies.
